Legacy Project

Legacy is about life and living. It’s about learning from the past, living in the present, and building for the future.

In Junior English we have been discussing the fact that each of us are currently leaving a legacy. The type of legacy we are leaving is entirely up to us as individuals. As this year’s Junior Class, it is important for our students to begin to think about the legacy they are living, leaving, and looking forward to.

“My hope is to encourage all students to live their lives with purpose and to remember that they are currently living a legacy!” Said Mrs. Huggins.

This week students brought their “Legacy” rough drafts to class. All students rotated through a series of exercises with their peer editing partner. Students worked on developing “voice”, organizational structure, and even visited the “Huggins Hot Seat” where Mrs Huggins reviewed their rough draft and offered advice on how to perfect their paper.
