As part of eighth grade’s study of polymers, students were challenged to make polymer ball.  A recipe was given and students made the polymer ball and tested it to see if it bounced.  Then, students were given the chance to “improve” the recipe and make a polymer ball that bounced even higher.  The most successful group made a ball that bounced 30 cm!
