Middle School Choir Fall Concert

On Monday night, the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choir students presented a Fall Concert for their parents and other guests.

Beginning the concert were the students finishing up their rotation in choir, as part of the fine arts rotation schedule for all 6th graders. The students narrated and sang a program highlighting folk songs from around the world including Great Britain, France, Australia, America and Scotland.

Next, the 7th and 8th grade boys sang the three selections that were the audition pieces for the TMEA all-region choir contest. Sam St. Amant, a 7th grader, was chosen back in October for the all-region choir, along with 8th grader, Ashley Nguyen.

After that, the 8th grade girls’ choir sang two songs, a Slovakian lullaby and a song from the movie Home Alone. The evening concluded with the combined 7th and 8th grade choirs singing Magnificat (a song based on the words of Mary in the book of Luke) and The Lord Bless You and Keep You.
