Prayer – Praises and Requests

From the desk of Ginger Bell, Director of Family and Alumni Relations:

I have a special request for prayer this week.  Morgan Moss, a long time student at Brook Hill and a member of the Junior class this year, will be having significant surgery next Tuesday, February 10 in Dallas.  Please join us in praying for wisdom for the doctors and peace for the family as they wait for the results.

I love how so many of our alum have learned to listen to God as he directs their paths!  I recently received this praise and wanted to share with you.  From Tyesha Jackson, ’12:  Okay so a few people know this already, but I haven’t officially announced this to everyone. When I first went to college, I was pre-med pursuing an educational track to become a doctor. During my sophomore year, I realized that this is not what I was called to do. Too many things were going wrong for this to be the path God wanted me to take. So I looked around and prayed, and with the MUCH appreciated help of my momma, I was able to transfer to UT Tyler and applied for …their accelerated nursing program. I must say I worked (hard) taking summer and fall classes playing catch up with credits so that I would be eligible to start in the spring. Needless to say I am SO excited to be announcing that I have been accepted into the program! I’m so grateful to have my wonderful momma in my corner and a God who has grown my faith in Him by having faith in me. …I’m just so excited and had to share with everyone!

I happen to know Ty recently made an A on her first nursing school exam! Way to go, Tyesha!
