Second Graders “scoot” in class
Second graders have been studying the three types of communities in Social Studies.
As a review, the students played “Scoot.” With a partner, students traveled through stations around the room to look at several pictures of different communities and recorded urban, suburban or rural. Seconds later, students moved to a new picture until they had “scooted” all around the room correctly identifying each community. Classes then checked their community answers together for more review. Below, Mrs. Batis’ students work together in their game of “Scoot- The Communities Version.”
