TYLER — The Lady Guard varsity combined to draw 16 walks and scored 20 runs on seven hits in a 20-0 win over Tyler Bishop Gorman. Brook Hill remains undefeated and in first place in the TAPPS Division II District 2 standings.

The game only needed three innings before it was called due to a the 15-run rule. Micah Lovelady and Vanna Dean combined to give up one hit with three walks and three strikeouts. Lovelady started the game and went one scoreless inning to get the win.

Brook Hill got four extra-base hits with nine players scoring at least one run, led by Maddie Anthony, Alyssa Duplichain and Lovelady, who scored three apiece.

Kyndel Clayton led the Lady Guard with four RBIs, with Lovelady and AD Kuechle driving in three runs. Anthony also stole two bases.

The Lady Guard scored 10 runs in the top of the first. Both Kuechle and Lovelady drew bases-loaded walks followed by a three-run triple by Clayton. A bases-loaded walk by Natalie Travis followed by a two-run single from Anthony made it 8-0. Brook Hill still had not recorded an out with Duplichain doubling home Anthony and Kuechle launching a double to left-center field that scored Duplichain for a 10-0 lead.

The Lady Guard gave themselves up by stepping off the base twice to end the inning.

Brook Hill made it 13-0 when Cassie Cannon and Kaitlyn Juarez walked and were hit by a pitch and both scored on wild pitches. Travis was hit by a pitch and came home on an error. Kuechle drove in Anthony with a bases-loaded walk with Lovelady hit by a pitch to score Anderson.

The Lady Guard added three more runs without needing to swing the bat. Cannon was hit by a pitch to score Kuechle, Juarez walked to score Lovelady and Vanna Dean walked to score Clayton and make it 18-0.

In the third inning, Brook Hill received an RBI single by Lovelady and RBI double from Clayton.
