Thank You Brook Hill Community!
From the desk of Rod Fletcher, Headmaster:
Because of the incredible support of our faculty, staff, alumni and families the 7th annual fall Family Participation Drive, benefiting The Brook Hill Fund, was our most successful ever. Because of the generosity of our community, $100,373.47 was raised for the students of Brook Hill. I am very appreciative to our alumni who joined together and made sacrificial gifts of their own to challenge the rest of us to give. The alumni alone raise over $35,000 – what a great encouragement. A few weeks ago I sent out a video explaining why raising money for Brook Hill is so important and why Heather and I count it a privilege to support Brook Hill financially. It was very evident during this year’s Family Participation Drive that our families feel the same way.
Why is the participation of our families so important? The level of commitment and support from our families speaks volumes to foundations and other donors, encouraging them to be generous to Brook Hill. People want to give to something that is important – when they see others providing support it validates their own belief that the cause is worthwhile. In fact, foundations consider annual fund participation one of the key factors in determining if they will support an institution like Brook Hill.
It is often said that a healthy annual fund is a strong indication of a healthy school. Thank you again for being part of making our school one of the healthiest around.
