Two Versions of The Night Before Christmas were read during chapel this week at the Lower School. The 1823 familiar poem written by Clement C. Moore, was read by librarian, Ila England. The other version read by the Lower School Principal, Sandra Fritcher, was The True Night Before Christmas by Timothy Penland and illustrated by granddaughter, Savannah Joy Adams. The True Night Before Christmas was “…not about Santa or presents you’ve bought. It’s about the Christ Child who was born as a boy, who brought the world peace and gave my heart joy.”
