private christian boarding schools in texas

If you’re looking for a boarding school in Texas, you have a number of options. If you love Dallas, TX and are interested in an All-Girls school, Hockaday may be a great choice. If you are looking for a military school or JROTC program, Marine Military Academy or TMI would be worthy of consideration. When it comes to co-educational, college preparatory boarding schools, there are a few more options in Texas: San Marcus Academy, St Stephen’s Episcopal, The Village School, and of course, The Brook Hill School (our personal favorite). No school is perfect for every student. In today’s global economy and increasing desire individualization and distinction, it is important to determine your personal values and choose a boarding school that best aligns with your personality and goals. Here are some things that set Brook Hill apart from other boarding schools, not only in Texas, but across the globe.

Brook Hill is a College-Prep, Christian Boarding School in Texas.

Brook Hill not only prepares students for college through rigorous academics, but also instills Christian values in its students. Brook Hill offers 27 AP & Dual Credit courses (the national average is 16), allowing students to choose from over 100 college hours while they attend our boarding school. 100% of our graduating seniors are accepted to college every year, many being accepted to their first college choice. The average class size at our boarding school is 14 and we have a 9:1 student-teacher-ratio. Our teachers know their craft and deeply understand their subjects. Over 70% of our faculty hold advanced degrees.

As a Christian boarding school, Brook Hill holds to Christian values and teaches from a Christian worldview. Brook Hill was recently named one of the Best 30 Christian Boarding School in America. Many boarding schools began as faith-based institutions, but through the years have drifted from Christian values and teaching. At Brook Hill we still hold fast to the teachings of Jesus and hold our students to a high moral standard. Students attend church regularly, participate in chapel once a week, and build deep relationships with peers and Christian faculty through weekly advisory groups.

Brook Hill is one of the most diverse Boarding Schools in Texas

At The Brook Hill School, students build meaningful friendships with an international community. Students hail from over 25 different countries and about 15% of our school is international. Through these relationships, students at our boarding school experience a rich variety of culture that prepares them to live and work in the global economy. Our admissions team travels across the globe in search of the best students from all different countries and works to admit a variety of students from every race, color, national & ethnic origin.

Brook Hill’s Boarding Students love Athletics

Students at our boarding school in Texas love to compete in athletics. Brook Hill’s athletic program has won 10 state championships in the last 6 years and currently has over 20 alumni competing in colleges across the country. We hire experienced, full-time coaches who spend time with our students not only on the field, but in the classroom as teachers and on campus as administrators. Our coaches know our students not just as athletes, but as people. We strive to not only win games and train better athletes, but instill Christ-like character and cultivate a love for learning as our students prepare for college and life.

Brook Hill’s Boarding Students love the Arts

Some students at our Christian boarding school in Texas have a special talent in music – vocal or instrumental. Others are gifted in the visual arts, and can draw, paint and sculpt. And there are still others whose talents lie in the dramatic arts, on the stage or in the tech booth. But wherever their personal talents are focused, our goal as Christian educators is to inspire in our students a passion for their respective art form that will motivate them to stretch their creative abilities and to excel in their art in a way that will honor our Maker and His creative genius.
