4th graders partnered with kindergarten students to help them get ready for the Great Books Parade on Friday!

Mrs. Newsom’s and Mrs. Bickerstaff’s third graders held a math competition to celebrate the World Series. They created a bar graph to chart their progress each day. To celebrate all the learning they did, baseball cookies, courtesy of Mrs. Durrett, were enjoyed. You could say both the learning and cookies were big hits!

8th grade humanities learned the meaning of the Declaration of Independence when they visited the American Freedom Museum this week. Student even rewrote the document in their own words as an exercise to help them understand it more fully.   

Macie Wilson and Josh Collins were “Teacher for a Day” in Mr. Johnson’s Math 6 Class this week. These two students actually taught a complete math lesson to their classmates!
