Fourth grade uses Dash Robots

Mrs. Dawkins 4th grade class practiced their coding skills using a program called Blockly and Dash with their robots. Dash Robots are equipped with sensors, microphones, lights and motors that allow students to explore the world of robotics in a creative, collaborative and interactive way.

Invention Convention Preparation

Fifth grade in the American Freedom Museum

Our fifth graders have a special task at the AFM. They are to find something in the museum that they can research and be able to present the history and information on. They are in the middle of studying their chosen pieces now and will present in class and next year as they shadow rising sixth graders.

Hibernation Day in Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten students have been studying and researching an animal of their choice and last week in class, they got to present this animal to their peers. After that, they hibernated and enjoyed a Friday in pajamas to close out that unit.

Dinosaurs invade in Pre-K

All week, dinosaurs have been the theme of Pre-K. They are discussing dinosaurs, learning about how they eat and what they eat, and have been counting using Dino pasta and comparing the size of a Brontosaurus footprint to their own.
