This Sunday, December 15, also at Barnes and Noble, Mrs. Cool’s piano students will play Christmas music beginning at 1:00 pm. At 3:00 pm, Prekindergarten students will perform and Mrs. Stacy Bell will read a special Christmas story.

Fourth graders have been learning about the physical properties of matter. They measured length, volume and mass of different kinds of matter, and learned to use the appropriate tools and measurements for each. Sixth graders have been learning about plate boundaries in the theory of plate tectonics. Students built a city out of play doh and Legos on top of boards which represented two plates. Then the three different plate boundaries were tested with students recording the amount of damage.

The Tommy Young Basketball Classic is underway this weekend at The Brook Hill School. Thursday night began the round-robin tournament with Bullard facing Grace at 6:30 pm. Lower School Spanish classes recently delivered canned and other food items to The Tyler Rescue Ministry. The students collected 536 food items for the Rescue Ministry organization. Brook Hill Lower School students Karissa, Kayla and Nate Dahn earned first place in their respective grade levels at the Mathnasium of Tyler “TriMathLon” completion. These Math Wiz Kids earned $100.00 for The Book Hill Lower School! The amount earned was based on the number of correct answers. We are so proud of Karissa, Kayla, and Nate.
