Spanish 1 students worked on telling Spanish stories this week in class. Using their tablets to record their individual stories, the students were able to listen for errors and re-record as necessary. What a great way to utilize technology to help students be more engaged in the learning process!

Maddie Travis and Gracie Brasher jumped for 2nd and 4th respectively in high jump at the state meet today! Maddie jumped 5’6 while Gracie jumped 5′. Way to go ladies! Jordon McGowen also placed 4th in the shot put, throwing 47.8 feet. Congratulate these students on their incredible accomplishments on the field today!
This past week our boys golf team competed at the State Golf Tournament. Our boys played well, coming in 4th after the first round, but falling to 5th by the end of the second round. Congratulate our boys on a great season!

Spanish 3 students celebrated Cinco de Mayo on Thursday by sampling some traditional Mexican goodies. Students enjoyed Jarritos Mexican sodas, pan dulce (sweet bread) and ensalada de nopales (cactus salad). Of course, we added chips and salsa since we are in Texas and you can’t celebrate anything here without some good Tex-Mex chips and salsa!
Brook Hill softball did not score its customary 3-5 runs in the first inning of its TAPPS 4A area playoff game against Cypress Christian Monday afternoon at Schwab Field. The Guard baseball team delivered a solid season in TAPPS 2-4A. Good enough to force a three-way tie for first place and share the district crown with Frisco Legacy Christian and Tyler All Saints.
