Second Graders Create a Writer’s Notebook

Student were assigned with taking home a composition notebook and decorating the cover with pictures, stickers, words, quotes, or photographs that are special to them. Second Grade Hoedown

The second grade “Hoedown” was the culminating event to the second grade study of Texas.  Students showed off their dancing skills along with listening skills, following directions, and left and right directionality.  By the end of the program, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Brashier even had those parents dancing!

Duck For President!

Second grade students of Mrs. Brashier and Mrs. Johnson recently conducted a mock election after reading the story, Duck for President by Doreen Cronin. Students made  posters, campaign speeches, and filled out voter registration cards.
