Fourth graders have been learning about the physical properties of matter. They measured length, volume and mass of different kinds of matter, and learned to use the appropriate tools and measurements for each. Sixth graders have been learning about plate boundaries in the theory of plate tectonics. Students built a city out of play doh and Legos on top of boards which represented two plates. Then the three different plate boundaries were tested with students recording the amount of damage.

Brook Hill Lower School students Karissa, Kayla and Nate Dahn earned first place in their respective grade levels at the Mathnasium of Tyler “TriMathLon” completion.
