Today our Lower School got pumped up for homecoming with a full on pep rally! We had the drum line, cheer and dance routines, and our students’ showed some Brook Hill Spirit!

After joyfully singing several songs, students, staff, and parents in the Lower School Chapel service learned that the answers to life’s problems can found in the Bible. This was cleverly explained in a skit led by Mrs. Savage’s class. Individuals with problems called the Bible store, “Cover 2 Cover” for advice. Appropriate verses were then shipped out to help these individuals.
Our MS Cross Country team took 2nd place overall at their meet this week! Campbell Fletcher and Josh Jenkins also placed individually! Go Guard!
In our Lower School Science Lab, 5th graders tested for the presence of starch in different foods. This lab reinforced a lesson on photosynthesis and showed the real-life effects of the process. Tuesday night Mr. Fletcher (Headmaster) and his family invited our boarding community into their home for an Ice Cream Social. Our students played games, socialized, and, of course, created and consumed their own ice cream creation. With activities, 3 flavors of ice cream, 7 toppings, and 65 students we had the recipe for an enjoyable evening.

The BH Builders comprised of fourth and fifth graders decided to to accept the First Leago League’s Nature’s Fury challenge by sponsoring a whole school water and gatorade drive to assist The Bullard Fire Department in their relief efforts.
