I Took My Frog to the Library…Really!

Mrs. Powell’s prekindergarten student, Piper, brought a frog (really a toad) to school. The librarian, Mrs. England, asked Piper if she would bring the frog to the library because, there was a matching book.  Brooklyn is holding the book, I took my Frog to the Library, while Piper holds the frog!

Kindergarten Spanish Learns About Animals

Kindergarten Spanish students acted out the story, “La Gallinita Roja”, The Little Red Hen.  They made masks to represent which animal they were:  la gallina – the hen, el perro – the dog, el gato – the cat, or el ratón – the mouse.  The students participated in the story while studying animals in Spanish.

PreK Plants a Garden

OASIS Day

This Thursday, students went out across East Texas to serve our surrounding communities. Students volunteered their time to help nursing homes, police officers, parks, pregnancy centers, firemen, non-profits, churches, missionary organizations,  those less fortunate, and many others. Boys & Girls Tennis Win District

Both boys and girls tennis teams won district this week! Marisa, Brook Hill Senior, won the girls district championship in singles tennis. The Kitt brothers, Alec & Philip, won the boys district championship for doubles. We’re excited to see how our tennis team performs in the coming weeks!
